Swarland Old Hall is a family run farm covering
310 acres and breeds both commercial and pedigree livestock.
Our stone built Grade II listed Georgian house is situated
on the banks of the River Coquet and has breathtaking views
over the Northumberland countryside. We offer award winning
accommodation and delicious traditional home cooked English
breakfasts.

Your hosts are the Proctor family who bought the
house and farm in 1988 from retiring uncles. Dianne Proctor runs
the house and was delighted to be receive the Gold Award from the
English Tourism Council and more recently the Pride of Nothumbria
Best B&B 2003.
Arthur Proctor and his youngest son, Andrew, farm at Swarland Old
Hall. Andrew has been successful in building up a pedigree flock
of Texel
sheep that are sold each year at the world-famous Kelso Ram
Sale in the Scottish Borders. He has a formidable array of pedigree
Blond
Aquitaine and Limousin cattle, many of which can be viewed on
a tour round the farm.
Our large raised wall garden is well stocked. Not only does it offer
secluded areas to relax in but also offers stunning south facing
views of Northumberland.
